The New Track Bike.

New club membership requires a new bike, these are the rules obviously, a fresh start, a fresh bike. From Ridley dealer Solid Rock Cycles http://www.solidrockcycles.co.uk/ , apart from wheels from specialist wheelbuilder and owner of wheel components nobody else has, Al Gow at Wheelcraft , Clachan of Campsie.

Spec:
Frame: Ridley Oval
Cranks & BB: Campagnolo Record Pista (splashed out on a 165 & 170mm set, canny make my mind up)
Wheels: Wheelcraft Big Al Specials, Unknown manufacturer, but silky smooth cartridge bearing flash 24 hole hubs (where does big Al get this stuff) on (front) Mavic GL330 & (rear) Mavic Special Service de Courses, flat bladed spokes laced in 'Spanish' pattern, shod in Continental Sprinter 250 for now, will get some 'faster' tubs later.
Seatpin: Bontrager Race X Lite Carbon
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR Gelflow

Manchester on Saturday night will be it's first ride, looking forward to it, hopefully first race at Meadowbank track league on Tuesday, weather dependant.
